Earlier topics taught Apprentices to identify if things are the same or not. This topic takes the next step: HOW are they different? This also gently introduces the idea of sequencing: putting things in order based on … something.

Objectives

The learning objectives in this topic are defined as follows.

  • Understand what comparing means.
  • Compare by height, size, brightness, rotation.
  • Compare based on whether something HAS a certain property or not
  • Learn the symbols for comparison (=, <, and >)
  • Understand what sequencing (sorting/ordering) means.
  • Identify first, middle, and last.
