level 2 | social | quizmasters | waste-and-littering

Description

This an educational quiz that teaches (young) kids about waste and pollution. It playfully explores waste sorting—what goes where—but also gives a sense of why it’s so bad and the terrifying scale of garbage that humanity creates.

You can play the quiz the usual way—ask questions, check who knows the answer—but we also added an interactive, physical version. In this version, you place several “garbage bins” across your classroom and players answer by chugging waste into the right one!

For an actual game, look at our entries in the Gamiverses category. For example, The Ocean Cleanup Game.

Like all our quizzes, it uses our advanced system that allows playing the quiz however you want: digitally, physically, hybrid, with custom answer sheets, and more.

Have fun!

Faction: Quizmasters

This resource is part of the Quizmasters Faction.

But that's just one way to teach and explore its topic(s)!

You can always move to a different Faction to find a more effective way to teach the same topic.

Played a quiz? Try a game! Played a game? Try an escape room! And so on.

For example,

Charm: Trivia Kit

This product is part of the Trivia Kit charm.

Visit its main page to learn more about what that means. Below is a summary:

These are quiz experiences (like a pub quiz or trivia night) using our custom digital framework, allowing you to play on any device with a browser!

Our framework allows a large variety of questions, answer types, rounds, interactive media, and other tricks to make the quiz as fun as possible. If desired, though, the entire experience can easily be printed and played completely physically too.

Spell: Waste & Littering

This resource is part of the Waste & Littering topic (or "spell").

As we progress to level 3, we’re approaching the moment when Apprentices start to understand they’re not alone in this world and should start to take others into account. The best way to introduce this, in our opinion, is to talk about waste and littering. Because waste is a very visible and tangible problem, but cleaning up is also something you often do for others instead of just yourself. This resource contains a wide variety of activities that teach this in a playful way (such as a game to clean up the plastic ocean).

Try another approach?

The Faction (or "product type") of this product is Quizmasters.

This approach might work for some Apprentices but not for others! That's why we recommend exploring each topic in a variety of ways.

Maybe a (different) game works better? Or a quiz, story, or escape room? Below are some random suggestions.
