Description
This quiz has only one type of question.
You are shown a bunch of things. Can you figure out which ones are connected, and which one doesn’t belong?
This requires being able to discover patterns and similarities between the things. Being able to label them as a certain group, and noticing that only one element doesn’t match the group. It’s a fun blend of basic skills (comparing, grouping, matching), and some creativity and general knowledge of the world.
It’s mostly meant as an educational quiz (in the classroom, for example). It’s recommended to play one or a few rounds at a time (it has a lot of questions) to gauge the general knowledge of your Apprentices. The questions are also easy and generic enough to play with a family/casual audience, though you might want to leave out a few rounds to shorten the duration.
The rounds included are,
- General Knowledge
- Geography
- Nature
- History
- Science & Tech
- Music
- Media
- (Pop) Culture
- Language
Of course, you can “connect” and “associate” in many ways, so the given answer is not necessarily the only one that’s correct! If players picked something else, let them explain. And if their explanation is strong enough, reward them too :)
We have an even simpler version for the youngest kids that is completely TEXTLESS (uses image/audio/video instead) at Quiz of Connections Kids.
We also have an even more advanced version for older kids and adults at Quiz of Connections Pro. That version is more akin to a pub quiz you can play with the family in a single night, though we warn you about its difficulty …
