LEVEL 1

This quiz is pretty unique. It’s not really about the questions and their answers.

Sure, the quiz is filled with simple questions that are fun for children. But it’s mostly about how you give those answers.

The goal of the quiz is to practice and test pencil control. Drawing precise lines, or even holding a pen the right way, are very fine skills that children struggle to learn. This quiz makes it fun by giving you a purpose to the practice: you answer every question with a drawing.

EXAMPLE!

An open question might be, “Draw the body part that usually wears a hat.” Then, players will likely think for a few seconds, then try to draw a face or head.

A multiple choice question might ask, “Which of these animals is the fastest?” It includes three images of a Tiger, Frog, and Mouse. Players will think for a few seconds about which one is faster, and then (hopefully) give their best shot drawing a tiger.

The only setup required is to give all players some papers and a writing utensil. You can also use the included PDF to give all players an “answer form”, if you want to actually track their responses and check them at the end.

Below are the different rounds included. As always, you can easily skip rounds or only play one at a time.

  • Copy The Line -> draw the exact line shown.
  • Get A Grip -> all questions are about different ways to grip the pencil, and you have to use that grip for the answer.
  • Fixed Symbols -> you answer each question by drawing a symbol from the same three possible options each time.
  • Drawing Dilemmas -> multiple choice questions where you draw the answer (the most “typical quiz round”)
  • Draw The Solution -> open questions where you can draw anything you think is the answer/solves the problem
  • Wrong Hand -> you must draw with your wrong hand this round.
  • Connect Us (Advanced) -> the question shows two (or more) things on a map/in space; you draw a line that would make a path between them all.
  • Twist The Line (Advanced) -> draw the exact line shown, but rotated/flipped/shrunk.
  • Blind Draw (Just For Fun) -> you must draw with eyes closed this round.

For open questions, when checking answers, the quiz includes a drawing too. This drawing is intentionally crude (unlike the other images), to look more like what a young child would draw, and to reinforce that there are no “wrong” answers there.

This quiz also has a fun group mode variant if you have a large number of players (such as in a classroom). This is explained in the included PDF file too.

REMARK! You can, of course, apply this exact same trick to other educational quizzes you bought from us! Ask players to draw the answer, instead of shouting it or pointing at it. The only requirement is that questions and answers are easily “illustrated”. Which is true for most of our quizzes in level 1, because they need to be simple and textless. This specific quiz simply focuses completely on the many ways you can answer questions with a drawing.
REMARK! Deze quiz is ook beschikbaar in het Nederlands! Zodra je de vragen hebt geladen kan je een taal kiezen. Zodoende kan je zowel de inhoud als de interface naar Nederlands zetten.
