LEVEL 1

This quiz tests your skill in grouping. It starts with the absolute simplest version, such as being able to tell that two things are both animals. With each round, however, the difficulty is increased and the questions become more creative and challenging.

As always, you can play this quiz digitally, physically, or something in-between. It’s easy to customize. For example, only play the rounds you want to focus on today, and leave the rest for another time.

The rounds contained within are,

  • How Are They The Same? (show two things, ask for properties they have in common—establishes the basic idea of grouping)
  • Name This Group (each question shows a group of things. Find the multiple choice answer that would describe/fit that group best.)
  • Which One Fits? (show two things, find the multiple choice answer that could be in a group with both things)
  • Odd One Out (which of these answers does NOT belong to the same group as the others?)
  • Name This Group Creative (a creative round about finding a good name/common property for a group of things. Each question is “open” and has no one right answer.)
REMARK! This quiz focuses on the core skill of knowing what a group is and what it means to put things into groups at all. Questions are simpler and more objective. We have another quiz for creatively associating and finding connections between things, which is the Quiz of Connections (Kids).
