Wherever you go, you can always find some pub holding a (thematic) trivia night with lots of participants. This became such a common experience that people started calling any quiz a “pub quiz”.

I guess the biggest difference can be seen when compared with a “tv show quiz”. Pub quizzes are not about who reacts fastest (by slamming some red buzzer) or some other gimmick. They’re as simple as they’re enjoyable: just a bunch of fun questions, and you ( + your teammates) want to get the best score.

Of course, we try to be creative with it. We usually add special rounds that ask you to answer in a different way, or rounds with a “secret theme”, or rounds with lots of video clips. But at its core, our trivia kits are just a list of interesting questions that you try to answer (together).

It’s simple. We provide the questions and answers—you can simply enjoy it. No rules or prior skills required.

A trivia experience supports any group size. They are supposed to be a social experience with loved ones. Something we’ll always recommend!

They can test your knowledge and be educational, or just be really funny as you try to figure out the right answer.

The digital version can be customized by writing your own questions in text files, then using the “Upload Custom Files” button at the start. Our software behind this experience is publicly available. You can read how to format your questions so the system understands.

The physical version can be customized in any PDF editing software. Additionally, you’re obviously free to simply “get inspired” by the quiz and use it to create your own variant on it, skipping or modifying questions for your own work.

In a way, when you buy such an experience, you mostly pay for a question pack (and its assets; images, video, audio). We’re not evil villains who force you to use our quiz exactly how we intended.

You don’t need a special license or permission for anything. You bought the experience—it’s yours to experience it as you wish.

For many years, my little sister and I created a litle “New Year’s Eve Quiz” at home. This easily became a ritual that anyone could enjoy, regardless of group size or other circumstances at the time (long story).

Over time, my systems and skill evolved. The very first pub quiz was a simple one on paper. Then I created a website that took a lot of work out of our hands, while allowing audio and video questions. Then I improved that general system again, and again, and again, as more nice features and practical ideas suggested themselves.

Until I thought it would be a crime not to share that with the world!
