This puzzle is a classic way to test and improve your abilities to recognize and match symbols. The rules are simple.
- The page contains a zoo with empty exhibits.
- Every space tells you what is allowed inside. (Example: “This space only accepts GIRAFFES.”)
- It’s your job to place the animals in such a way that all exhibits are happy! (There is always a perfect solution that fills all spaces.)
The first few puzzles reinforce these rules and make you familiar with the idea. Then the difficulty slowly ramps up, until you’re matching complicated patterns with ease.
This version uses more realistic (or “complex”) shapes for matching, namely the animals and their properties. It also requires that all properties of a space are satisfied by an animal. For more abstract symbols, a different theme, and more freeform matching, try the Parking Variant of this puzzle.
