Rainbow Express is a digital puzzle game teaching colors, logical problem solving, and spatial reasoning.
On the easiest difficulty,
- You get a small road network.
- One place is marked as “home”.
- Your car starts somewhere else.
- Tap the screen to move the car in that direction, and try to get it home.

- Multiple cars (of different colors). So you need to recognize and match colors, as well as make sure their routes don’t overlap.
- Colored stars to pick up along the way. This usually means only one valid route is possible at all.
- Larger networks and longer routes, requiring more planning ahead.
- Picking the right order for driving the cars yourself (on highest difficulty).
As expected, the game has no text, numbers, or complex actions. Just tap left/right/up/down from your current car to move it. Thanks to these clever rules, though, it is an actual puzzle that will challenge older kids and adults too (at higher difficulties)!
In the settings you can turn on extra help such as audio cues or an extra grid overlay reinforcing where roads start and stop. Additionally, you can play one of four modes: colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.
