Potion Puzzle is a digital puzzle game teaching colors, shapes, an introduction to counting, plus a bit of logic and spatial awareness.
On the easiest difficulty,
- You get a few potions, each one containing several different colors.
- Each turn (or “move”), the game highlights one potion.
- You tap another potion to move its top color to the highlighted potion.
- Keep making moves until each potion contains only the same color! (Example: all RED balls are inside the RED potion.)
Of course, there’s one intuitive rule about these potions that makes it a challenge: they can’t overflow! You can’t add more colors than fit inside of it! This means kids need to vaguely judge how many “colored balls” could be added to a potion, which is a prelude to actual counting.
It contains 5 difficulty levels. Later difficulties increase the number and size of potions, as well as the number of steps to complete it. The game also contains a Shape Mode. It’s exactly the same puzzle, but now you’re matching shapes instead of colors.
As expected, the game has no text, numbers, or complex actions. Just tap one potion on each turn. Thanks to these clever rules, though, it is an actual puzzle that will even be interesting to older kids and adults!
