This is probably the hardest puzzle within this subject category (“Recognition & Discrimination”). Other puzzles (and exercises) mostly test if someone can spot if two things are identical or not. This puzzle takes it a step further by asking if two edges match/complete each other.
The rules are simple.
- The page contains an empty grid, with a START and END location marked.
- It’s your job to build a road that connects the two, by placing road parts on the grid.
- As expected, the road has to make sense! The right edges need to connect, as roads can’t suddenly go off into the wilderness …
The road parts are meant to be cut out and folded back on themselves, to make them much thicker and thus easier to handle for a child.
