Chainsharks is a physical puzzle about learning to compare size. And, at later levels, position and rotation.
It’s a physical puzzle. You cut out a few fish tokens beforehand. Then, each puzzle tells you how to “set up” ( = where to place a few fish), and you solve it by physically moving the fishes around.
There are only two rules: fishes move forwards, and big fish eat small fish!
And there’s a simple objective: you win when only a single fish remains.
This turns it into a very simple and tactile puzzle that both young and old will enjoy. Each difficulty level adds a “special power” to one of the fishes, which allows keeping the puzzles small and simple … but still challenging.
The first power you learn—and arguably the most important one—is the one that gave the puzzle its name. After eating a fish, the Shark rotates to match that fish. This allows it to chain multiple bites after another, clearing the entire puzzle if you do it right. Hence, Chainsharks ;)
Play the puzzles to find out what all the other fun fishes do!
