Description
Brainblankets is a spatial logic and grouping puzzle inspired by Dominosa. Each puzzle shows you a simple, small beach filled with a few recognizable shapes. It’s your job to “pair” adjacent shapes—turning them into a blanket, shaped like a domino piece. But there’s one simple rule: different blankets may not contain the same shapes!
This rule is enough to make the puzzle easy to learn for all ages, but a real challenge to solve. Even on tiny beaches with just a few shapes. As always, we start small like that, making sure everyone understands the idea. Over time, however, the puzzles grow, and small twists are added to keep it interesting, until we end on some really challenging puzzles that guide your Apprentice towards Level 2 (by replacing the shapes with low numbers).
You can play this puzzle physically, by cutting out the blankets and placing them on top of the puzzle. You can also simply play by drawing something resembling a rectangle around two shapes.
