This puzzle is a bit more experimental than the others in this topic (such as Rhymatch). It will probably fall flat with some Apprentices, but be an amazing learning experience for others.
The rules are simple: you must draw shapes in squares such that every row is different, but they all end the same way. (Just like … rhymes!)
Once you can do that, the puzzles switch from shapes (rectangle/circle/triangle) to letter shapes. By the end of this resource, a pre-reader kid is actually rhyming and writing simple words without them knowing it.
We saw this as a great opportunity to play with rhymes (and the “structure” behind it) as well as create awareness of letters and practice fine motor skills.
We will release an advanced version (not-pre-reader) of this in the future. That will likely just be a really good puzzle that isn’t experimental at all, because now the players can actually read and write! If we forget to update this page after release, let us know!
