Description
Bauble Ball is a game about decorating the same Christmas tree together. Unfortunately, though, you’re not working together—you’re playing against each other. The tree has only a few spaces for baubles, and every tree has its own strict rule about what’s allowed. For example: it’s forbidden to place two of the same color next to each other.
Try to get rid of all your baubles! And try to do it in a way that makes it impossible for other players to place theirs.
There are many trees to pick, and many baubles to randomly distribute, which makes every game feel completely different.
Moreover, the base game does not rely on text or numbers, allowing young kids to play too. Only the expansions add special baubles with numbers and letters, allowing some practice with maths and language, if you want. They also add action baubles and the ability to play with multiple trees, which can support a higher number of players.
Even better, this is a simultaneous game: people don’t get turns, but instead act all at once! You secretly pick your baubles at the same time, then reveal and resolve together. This makes individual games very quick and without downtime, satisfying even the most impatient of players.
Of all our Christmas games, this is probably the most suitable entry game for any group of people. Not complicated, but also not childish. Short and simple, but still with clear strategy and a Christmas theme.
