Description

This is a physical (“board”) game for pre-readers about recognizing rhyme and alliteration. What does that mean? It means there are no pawns—the players themselves are the pawns. And the entire room is the board.

The players are “bunnies” hopping from location to location, trying to reach the finish (first). How do you hop? By picking one of your cards and placing it on your current location. If it rhymes with your location, you’re allowed to jump over fences, which moves much faster. If not, you simply take a step to an adjacent location.

This product includes our Rhyme Pairs Cards for free. They will be used to do the actual rhyming. Expansions add more custom rhyme pairs (not in that pack).

The base game already has players moving around a lot and practicing their rhyme/word sounds all the time, but it’s a very simple and straightforward game. The expansions/upgrades add more creativity, more strategy, and other language play such as alliteration.

Have fun!

Board Games are simply physical games (as opposed to video games). They could be played using cards, without a board, with players physically moving around, anything.

Our board games follow the rule that your first game should only require a single page of setup + rules. Most of them are cooperative multiplayer experiences.

The best way to learn something is to play around with it. And the best thing to play with as a pre-reader, is the idea of making words rhyme or alliterate.
