Logic Puzzles are little toys to challenge your mind and creatively solve problems. Think of Sudokus, Crosswords, and the like.
They are a great way to pass the time and to keep your brain strong. Solving a puzzle gives a very strong reward in our brains. It makes us feel like we accomplished something—and, well, we did!
We love the traditional logic puzzles, but also had ideas about how to make our own. How to make them with more theme, more color, more elements that appeal to school children.
That’s what you’ll mostly find here. We’re not interested in just copying existing famous puzzles—like making the umpteenth book with standard Sudoku puzzles. We invent logic puzzles of a type that don’t exist yet and make them look as good as possible! And we do so with the help of smart computer algorithms, such as our custom puzzle framework, that allow generating endless pretty puzzles on the fly.
Why would I be interested?
It has all the same advantages as an Educational Puzzle, with two important differences.
- They’re not necessarily bound to an educational topic. This allows many different kinds of puzzles, and allows them to be a bit more challenging or “advanced”.
- We can offer more of them for the same price. Often because we write a generator on the computer that, after a lot of work and refining the idea, is able to generate puzzles of this type on demand. And yes, you get that generator program too, for free.
Why would I not be interested?
It has all the same disadvantages as an Educational Puzzle, with two important differences.
- Some people need to have a “point” to everything they do. They will only do something if there’s a big practical purpose or “use” for it. Well, as much as we like puzzles, we can’t pretend like most logic puzzles aren’t just fun little toys to entertain you while waiting for the bus.
- Because the puzzles stick to their core ruleset, there is less variety than in, say, an escape kit or a board game. It’s more repetitive. For some, this feels safe and comfortable and good. Others might be bored after a while and only do half the puzzles for which they paid.
How is the product delivered?
You always get a ZIP file. When extracted, it contains
- A PDF with explanation of the rules.
- A PDF with all puzzles in order of difficulty. (Often broken up into different levels, introducing new rules as you go.)
- The generator to open in a browser and generate new puzzles by clicking the button.
- (MAYBE) Sometimes the generator also allows playing the puzzle in the browser.
Some puzzles lack the generator or are so small that they’re just a single PDF file.
How can I play?
You can solve the puzzles digitally or physically.
- You can print them, then play with pen and paper.
- You can also load the image into any note-taking app and simply draw over it on your screen!
Some puzzles ask you to cut out pieces or prepare things another way, but those are the exception and will clearly mention this.
Oh no! Something broke!
The nice thing about PDFs and printed puzzles is that they never break. That’s why we always supply those too, even if the puzzle itself has a very nice generator that allows playing digitally.
If the generator breaks, then you can try to update the system. Visit the source code for our puzzle framework. Download the latest pq-puzzle.min.js and replace your current file named like that. That should solve most problems!
If that doesn’t work, contact us! Try to give screenshots/descriptions of the problem, and we’ll usually know immediately what’s going on. That’s the advantage of using a system you built for the full 100%.
