Activity Aids are educational activities and/or general material to help create your own activities.

An “activity” differs from a game in the sense that there is usually no win condition, no clear set of rules or actions you may take. There isn’t a “system” being simulated or a winner announced at the end. Most educational activities are just about doing something fun for a little bit. Just playing around with something.

It felt wrong, to us, to sell “activities” because they’d just be a PDF with “here are some things you might want to do”. Most people can come up with activities themselves just fine. Probably even better, because they know their group and its limitations. As such, we only create such products if we can actually add value by adding useful things like flash cards, thematic images to use, and more.

Why would I be interested?

  • If you’re looking to do activities with a group of people (though we’re mostly aimed at kids), but struggle to think of anything.
  • If you want to supplement theoretical lessons and testing with something more interactive and physical.
  • More generally, you can use the special things we make for your own purposes. We do what we do best—create illustrations, create nice documents, create playing cards—and you can build activities around it.

Why would I not be interested?

As explained above, the “Activity Aid” is not “done”. You can’t buy it, give it to a group of kids, and that’s that.

They are tools to help you plan and execute general activities and events surrounding specific topics or themes.
